Microdermal Piercings: Prices, Care & Healing Tips

Microdermal

Single £35 and Double £60

Microdermal piercings also know as surface anchor piercings emerged as a body modification trend in the early 2000's, evolving from techniques used in pocketing, dermal anchoring and transdermal implants.  This evolution enabled the aesthetic of a transdermal implant with the simplicity and safety of a piercing.  Over the  past 17+ years microdermal piercing has become more and more popular as they offer something different to the norm. They are very quick to do, easy to hide and permanent once in place.  The size of the implants, as well as the technique used, enables them to be implanted nearly anywhere on the body.  Each implant consists of an anchor and the customisable top half of the piece.  The anchor is implanted underneath the skin and has holes in to allow the skin to grow through, literally attaching the piercing to the body.

Will it hurt? The whole procedure is very quick. It would seem that the piercing is more tha  tolerable, with the majority of people reporting it to feel like 'a sharp pain and stinging sensation' that lasts just a few seconds whilst the piercing is performed. where you pick for placement will depend on what you will feel, for example a cheek dermal vs arm dermal w differ in pain levels greatly. Each individual experiences pain differently, so it is impossible to say with certainty just how much your piercing may, or may not hurt.  Please NOTE legally I cannot apply numbing cream to you before this piercing. Many customers choose to look into this themselves.

Healing: Microdermal piercings are know as a single point piercing, meaning they have a single entry and exit point.  Due to this a Microdermal piercing can be more prone to flare up and infections. Aftercare protocols should be followed for the life of this piercing. placement of this piercing is so varied aftercare advice can vary depending on where you get your Microdermal.  Microdermal piercings generally heal very well, within approximately 3 months provided the correct aftercare procedure is followed.
